What is a Lotion Bar?9020-aromatherapy-lotion-bar
A lotion bar is a solid lotion. It resembles a bar of soap, but acts like a lotion. The bar will stay solid when kept at room temperature or lower. It can be used anywhere on the body and when applied to skin,  the body heat will slightly melt the bar. Lotion bars are typically made from all natural ingredients including butters and oils like Cocoa Butter, Shea Butter, Beeswax, Jojoba Oil, Avocado Butter, Sweet Almond Oil, Hempseed Oil and essential oils. There are also Exfoliating Lotion Bars that are the same lotion bar base with added salts (Sea Salt or Himalayan Salt for example) or sugars to exfoliate and moisturize skin naturally.

What is the appeal of this product?

1. Have dry thirsty skin?
Lotion bars are made of rich oils and butters to help nourish, soothe and moisturize your skin for hours. The best time to apply moisturizer is when your pores are open, either in the shower/bath, or just out of the shower/bath. This allows the lotion to deeply penetrate skin as well as seal and protect skin throughout the day.

2. Packaging is endless!
Because the lotion is solid mix of butters and oils, there are a endless number of packaging options. You can package them in twist up tubes that resemble a deodorant tube, in tin pots, or you can mold them in a Milky Way Tray Mold/Silicone Mold, making them as big or as small as you desire.

3. Purity/No Fillers
Lotion bars have a reputation for being a health-conscious choice because they are free from the potentially hazardous chemicals that may be found in commercial lotion products, such as phthalates, parabens, formaldehyde, petroleum, etc....

3236-Recipe-Salve_t-2 How to Use a Lotion Bar

Using a lotion bar is easy; just take the lotion bar into your hands and warm it with body heat, this will melt a small portion of the bar. One then can either rub the lotion onto the body part that needs moisturizing, or get enough in hands to put lotion bar down and use hands to cover skin. Lotion bars are especially effective in the shower, or right out of the shower when pores are open.
